Terms and Conditions

  • The services of Fly Kitesurfing are dependent on the weather conditions, the riding level of a guest and the availability of the equipment
  • The pricelist is valid from 01.01.2020 until 31.12.2020.
  • All priced are in Euro and per person. All prices are including sales tax.
  • A 5 % fee is charged for payment by credit card.                  

A 10% discount is applied to all Fly Kitesurfing services only (Except for overnight stay and Kite Safaris) if full payment is made 30 days prior to arrival.

This discount cannot be applied on hotels and other accommodations.

  • A Deposit of at least 50% is required pre arrival in order to secure your booking for rentals, courses or free rides
  • Due to the high demand and limited spaces for overnight stay on our daily boat, full payment of the entire stay is required pre-arrival to secure your booking
  • Due to the high demand and limited for Kite Safaris, full payment of the entire stay is required pre-arrival to secure your booking

Booked services may be cancelled via e-mail or telephone at the particular station. 

The following conditions apply for cancellations for all services (except overnight stay and Kite Safaris)

  • After the e-mail confirmation till 15 days or more: 75% refund
  • 1 – 14 Days prior to arrival: 50% refund
  • No-shows: No refund

The following conditions apply for cancellations for Daily Boat Overnight Stay

  • 15 Days or more prior to arrival: 50% refund
  • 8 – 14 Days prior to arrival: 25% refund
  • 7 Days prior to arrival: No refund

In case of a refund the amount will be refunded the same way it was paid. If the customer paid online through credit card, the refund will be made back through the same method. The customer may not claim a cash refund if they had paid using a different method

All customers acknowledge that all bookings are made for the initially provided arrival date. Any amendments to bookings by the customer are subject to availability on the amended date. Customers acknowledge that if the booking can’t be amended and they can’t undertake the service during the initial agreed upon date, then the booking will be considered cancelled and any refund will be returned according to the agreed upon cancellation policy.

Any bookings made by Fly Kitesurfing on behalf of the customer to other service providers such as but not limited to hotels, Kite Safaris, Dive Centres…etc are charged 100% pre-arrival.

Cancellations and amendments to these bookings are subject to the cancellation and amendments policies of 3rd party suppliers

  • All customers must be of good physical health and must be able to swim for at least 30 minutes without support
  • All customers renting equipment must be intermediate or advanced riders or show good ability to handle the equipment or previous customers of Bigdayz or Fly Kitesurfing.
  • Fly Kitesurfing has the right to suspend the rental agreement if the customer proves to be a danger to himself or to others
  • Fly Kitesurfing has the right to suspend the renal agreement if the customer continuously damages equipment
  • The customer is obliged to return any rental gear 30 min. before daily closing of the station.
  • If the customer books a rental package for a number of days and decides to cancel the agreement before package ends, Fly Kitesurfing will refund the remainder of the contract however the customer will be charged according to daily prices and not package prices.
  • In certain circumstance Fly Kitesurfing will issue a No-Wind voucher equal to the amount paid that can be claimed by the customer at a later date.
  • The customer is liable for self-inflicted damages and must pay it on its own and may not hold Fly Kitesurfing liable for any harm.
  • The customer is not obliged to buy any equipment insurance from Fly Kitesurfing however, the customer will be liable for any broken or damaged equipment.
  • Fly Kitesurfing insurance doesn’t cover lost equipment, and any lost equipment by the customer for any reason whatsoever must be paid in full.
  • If the customer’s 3rd party Insurance (f.e. VDWS) is not covering the demanded value of the broken equipment (evaluated by Fly Kitesurfing), the customer has to pay the difference. He/she has to report any damages when returning the gear.
  • Fly Kitesurfing staff maintains all gear to be in good working condition regularly. However, the customer is obliged to check the rental gear before every use thoroughly.
  • All customers must be of good physical health and must be able to swim for at least 30 minutes without support
  • The kite/windsurf instructor may suspend a student from the course, if he/she disturbs the course or proves to be a danger to himself or to others. In this case Fly Kitesurfing has the right to suspend the student from the course and no amount will be refunded.
  • Usually a kite/windsurf lesson starts at the first booked day between 08.45 AM – 5.30 PM, scheduled by the front office of the centre.
  • The front office will inform all customers of their scheduled course and pick-up times from the hotel. Student may not delay the course, unless otherwise agreed a day in advance. If a student doesn’t show up to the course after check-in he will be considered absent and the course will continue without them.
  • Scheduling another lesson will only be subject to instructor availability
  • The student has to check in at the centre prior to the course in order to get fitted for equipment
  • If the practical part of the course cannot take place due to over 35 knot winds or less than 8 knot winds or non-reliable and gusty wind, the course will be rescheduled. If rescheduling the course is not possible, a voucher with a similar value will be issued and the customer can come back and complete the course. If a customer wants to quit the course due to personal reasons, Fly Kitesurfing is not obligated to refund the course fee.

If any provision of these policies and regulations or the application thereof to any person or circumstances is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of these policies and regulations which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of these policies and regulations are severable.

The beneficiary of our services has to adhere to all orders given by the staff of Fly Kitesurfing. He/she has to follow the international right of way. Any kind of watersport is not permitted in the swimming area. Every rider has to keep a safe distance of at least 50 meters from other riders and beach users, especially from beginners. Jumping with a kite in a distance of 50m or less from the beach is prohibited. The rescue boat operates only in deep water outside the reefs. Violating any of these rules will entitle Fly Kitesurfing to cancel this contract without refunding any amount paid.

 

Fly Kitesurfing takes no responsibility for property damages or bodily injury of any kind. Also, it does not take responsibility for theft, pilferage and non-delivery. This regulation also applies to guest storage.
